Murdoch Building
Demolition of a 2 story once parking garage down to grade including removal of the floor slab on grade and foundation walls to two feet below grade. The concrete floor was broken in the basement area and backfilled with crushed concrete recycled from the structure. All structural steel and reinforcing bars within the concrete were recycled offsite. The site was then covered in fill and capped with topsoil, graded, seeded, and mulched. The site conditions were less than optimal due to the close proximity of neighboring structures and the congestion of both vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
